An ebay seller explains why the 5D was sent to Canon for servicing:
"the need arose after I had used the camera for a few shots with a wide
angle sigma lens I borrowed from a friend. Apparently there is a problem
(I don't know if it is specific to the 5D's or more general) with certain
aftermarket lenses they cause the fresnel lens to unseat from the
viewfinder, making things look out of focus. I sent it in to repair this
issue, and they brought the whole thing back to spec." |
