it turned out to be true.
My Asus rt-n12, bought in late Aug this year,failed
to boot this morning. Called Asus, and the guy let
me send it in for repair, with very bad attitude,
although no arguments at all.
I have used more than 10 routers, only two routers
died: Linksys WRT54G, and Asus rt-n12.
The WRT54G had a life of >6 years, died this summer.
This Asus rt-n12 had a life of only several months.
Anyway, for those who want to buy Asus routers, my
kind suggestion is please think twice before you buy. | t****g

I will use the Asus rt-n16 24x7 to see if it lasts.
If it dies, let it die within warranty.

我留给爸妈就是WRT54GL 仍在墙角三年了 从来不需要重启啊什么的
自己用的是WRT54G-TM 也仍在桌子下俩年多了 从来不要管
ASUS的配置看上去高 但估计没有那么稳定

发帖数: 2634 | 9 I have one of this model. Put on dd-wrt a while ago,
which is definitely a bad decision -- the NAT support
of version of dd-wrt is buggy, and I do not want to
zhe1 teng2. Other versions of dd-wrt I have used are
good.
Wait a new firmware release to re-flash it.
Is there a way to flash back to stock firmware easily?
