Basically, I want a camera can shoot the close up image for the physical
models and some interesting objects. Also, can shoot a wide angle if I need
to shoot a large size building/complex. Finally it can shoot a dramatic
night view.
After doing some research, I found I can split my focus into two area. one
is Lens, another is body. You can recommend them separately. My budget is
around $1000-&1500. Higher is OK if there is good reason. | d*****0

Here is a recommendation I got from another forum, pls comment:
"D90 has the same 720p video as the D5000. also there's no such thing as a
nikon 70-200 f/4, there's the 2.8 but it's $2200. Don't think it has a macro
setting, either.
Here's what I'd do for $1500ish:
used d90 - ~$750-800
used nikon 35-70 f/2.8 AF-D - ~$400 for a really clean one
new or used voightlander 20mm f/3.5 ~$450 used, $550 new.
the 35-70 is a stunning bargain, it's a pro lens and it has a macro setting.
