Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
• Perform in vitro experiments to explore the mechanism of actions of
potential biology targets and therapies in muscle cell and hepatocytes
• Analysis in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo samples to assess effect of
potential biological target and therapies as well as to identify biomarkers
of drug action and efficacy
• Develop and validate in vitro assays to support portfolio projects
• Quantification and translation of experimental results to advance
the understanding of how metabolic pathways and complex physiological
systems are altered by diseases and how they respond to therapeutic
interventions
• Communicate and present his/her data to project team
• Maintenance of laboratory notebook records and adherence to safety
policies is strictly required
Qualifications
• BA, BS or MS in Biochemistry, Physiology, Molecular and cell biology
with 3+ years of laboratory experience in appropriate scientific areas
relevant to this position
• Prior experience in culturing/isolation of primary skeletal muscle
cells or hepatocytes
• Strong oral and written communication
• Knowledge in muscle and liver metabolism is desirable
