发帖数: 522 | 4 如果你熟悉美国加拿大prescription药的体系，你就会明白，象Nexavar这样在专利保
护期之内的药，没有医生处方，你个人是不可能合法买到的。如果能买到，那就是如楼
上说的，都是非法途径，99%是假药，或者疗效根本不能保证，都是从印度或者中国来

病急乱投医可以理解，但是如果买了假药耽误了救治，那后果就更严重了。
没有医生处方，你不太可能能买到，但是其实还是有别的办法，比如说你有认识的医生
，或者你有朋友在这边的研究机构或者generic药厂工作，以科研名义购入，但是难度
都不小，不是非常铁的交情，没有人会冒着丢饭碗的风险去做这样的事情。

发帖数: 522 | 8 这个我还真不知道，可以尝试下，去chinatown找个中国医生问问，也许需要打点下（
如果你自己掏钱不要保险cover，其实医生不那么担心，但是如果你要保险cover，医生
不会干的，因为那是真正犯罪了），要救命，那只能什么办法都要用了， 只要拿到医
生处方，其余很简单，去药房拿就是。这个药在全世界范围内，比如欧洲，美国，日本
（不知道中国有没有）都有批，如果欧洲有朋友，也可以去那里尝试下，感觉欧洲管得
没美国严。
还有就是老印医生也愿意干这种事情，不过就是代价比较高，要是花1-2千块钱能从此
随要随开，也许值得,就是别被骗了。目前这个药便宜的generic是没有的，如果有，都
是假的，如果国内有合法的，不是太离谱，也许还是在国内比较好。
国内现在有很多Phase IV的follow up study，如果你的朋友能参加，会便宜很多，甚
至免费。我一个朋友他妈得了血癌，就是参加Novartis Gleevec在中国的Phase IV。但
是我不知道Nevaxar是否在中国也有类似的program，可以打电话到Bayer (Bayer
license这个药）或者Onyx Pharmaceticals （最初的innovator)去问问。

生命。。。 |

发帖数: 33 | 10 Do not try, as a resident, I can guarantee you two things:
1. Those drugs are bootleg
2. No legitimate doctors here will prescribe you without seeing the patient,
whether your relative has insurance or not is not an issue. It is illegal
and they can have their license revoked.
Try other medications that are available in China. Every cancer drug is a
hit or miss, no magic pills, including Nexavar.

to let her survive more time since she is very young...I do not know what
else we can do.
any advice is very welcome. |

1. Try to bring her here and send her to the hospital, even without
insurance, they will treat her. Also, the palliative here is quite good.
2. Find some shaddy doctors that willing to prescribe it "for a fee".
It is not easy, and this topic has been discussed again and again in the
medical forum and that is why no one reply to you there.

I know it is not easy. But we cannot give up without trying...no try, no
hope...
The question is will the hospital accept her without insurance...
Is there any doctor who is willing to do that kind of things since it is

treat first, bill later. If patient can not pay in the end, hospital,
goverment, or some other resource will pick up the bill. That is one of the
reason the health cost is so high here.

Yes, it is true that public hospitals are obligated by law to treat patients
disregarding their financial status. Yet, I am 99% sure that they won't
treat her with Nexavar, not even any premier anti-cancer drugs. Of course,
they will help with pain relief. And with advance liver cancer, they won't
even try surgical intervention.
