"keeps the line patent and prevents thrombosis"
Since "thrombosis" means blockage of blood, I will translate "patent" as
antonym of "obstruction", i.e. unblocked, unobstructed. 通畅，不堵塞。
在每次输注完研究用药之后，静脉输液管需保持通畅30分钟。
I think this translation would be correct. right?
