本人最近动了读书的念头， 可是还要挣钱养家。听说pharmacist好找工作收入也很好
。最近在网上查找一番， 发现有一大学（Creighton University，Omaha, NE 68178
USA）有个远程的Doctor of Pharmacy program. 不知各位认为如何？ 链接如下。

本人情况：生物类PhD， 中国国内的博士毕业，在美国已经5年多博士后了。文章发了
第一作者2篇JBC，和最近一篇co-1st author的Nature. 工作的实验室倒是不缺钱，学
术水平也不错，只是老板不咋nice。 考虑到本人身为人母，以后孩子还要在美国上大
学，总是在实验室混也不是长远之计，而去找faculty也不是易事，即使找上也不知能
否survive。 所以动了 |

How to find ?
Need TOFEL, GRE ?
Need to be licensed practicing pharmacists ?
How much the tuition fee ?
How long time to get the degree ?

发帖数: 387 | 4 Did you check the tuition and fees? I dont think most ppl can afford it. But
worth tring if you really want to. Do not forget you may need to take the 2
years of pre-pharmacy most likely. So, that's another 2 years of tuition.

学费大约一年$30，000。 如果工作的话， 还是负担的起。何况还能省税。 似乎对于
已经有bs or master学位的人不需要pre-2年的课程。 只是不知有人是否上过类似学校
和课程。 不明白这个板为何不大讨论这个问题。 |

Tuition per semester (Total of 9 semesters for the first and second year
students: $13,193
That is 13,193*9/2= 59368/year average for the first two years.
Tuition per semester (Total of 11 semesters for the third and fourth year
students): $10,795
That is 10,795*11/2=59372/year average for the 3rd and 4th year.
So, it's double what you estimated. Correct me if i'm wrong. Anyway, the
cost is not uncommon for professional programs. Counting on the fact t

发帖数: 15 | 7 It was said the programm require 4 years (total 9 semesters) professional
education. SO, the 4 years tuition 13,193*9 = $181,737
I think the only problem is: If the program accepts Chinese 4 years bachlor
degree(transcripts) as pre-pharmacy ? I checked some other PharmD non-
istance programms, they didn't accept forign country's bachlor transcripts
as pre-pharmacy, they only accept American and Canada transcripts. For
this distance one, maybe need ask for them and make sure. |
