如果你很有信心，能做出一些有实用前景的东东，那应该是非常有前景的，你将来甚至
可以自己创业。不过仅适用极少数人。
但如果你对自己没有足够的信心，以现有形式来看，该领域是不promising的，遗憾的
是，这条适用大多数人。
其实说了，等于没说。对任一领域、行业都适用。 |

meaningless names.
Also, define "promising"? As a research area or a job hunting area?

只要不是砸药片的都是会搞些fancy的名堂
nano在drug delivery已经有不少工艺应用在pipe line上了

Tricor (fenofibrate), which currently has around 1 billion sales last year (
980 million in 2005 I believe) in North American market. There are some
researches investigating other compounds, either to improve the
bioavailability for poor Class II compound or facilitate passing of BBB (
blood brain barrier).

发帖数: 56 | 7 I didn't mean to attack people. But nanotechnology in pharma/drug delivery
is just a too broad and vague concept. It could mean nanocrystals, liposome,
polymer micelle, drug polymer/polypeptide conjugates, etc.
My observation is, none of the major pharmas are doing much research in
these field. If they need to use any of the technology in a particular
compound, they will go to talk with a drug delivery company and evaluate
their technology/facility.

crystal size, plus some excipients to stablized the particle size. There is
nothing there worth a Ph.D. research. The point I want to get acrossed: the
industrial-useful technology is not fancy a lot of times, and scientifically
fancy technology many times is not useful, applicable, or ecnomically sound
in industry. One example, supercritical process is a very interesting idea
scientifically and environmentally, but nobod
