1I filed BBB complaint about KOHLS (See my complaint below). KOHLS offered me
$40 coupon but I rejected. I asked to release the phone conversation I had
with these supervisors. Today KOHLS agreed to mail me $40 gift card.
On Dec 13 2014, I selected 3 dresses on kohls.com, and some other items.
Then I hit checkout. I applied the gift cards online: two physical gift
cards I purchased from Rite Aid, each has $40, and a store card balance $12.
97. Each physical gift card showed $40 balance, and the store card showed $
12.97 balance, total $92.97 available credits. BEFORE I submit my order
online, I changed my mind. I removed two expensive dresses, and removed the
gift cards. When I was ready again to check out, I applied the gift cards
again, I found that one physical gift card still has balance $40 (
6393050440165787050), the other physical gift card balance becomes unknown (
6393050516416656465), the store card balance becomes zero. I thought Kohl's
may hold my money temporarily and the money will be credit back to the cards
in a few days. So I paid with the one physical gift card (
6393050440165787050) that still showed $40, and put the remaining balance on
my Kohl's credit card. The order number is 1649165229.
A few days later, I checked my gift card balance (6393050516416656465), it
showed me this error message: We're sorry, the page you're looking for may
be temporarily unavailable or no longer exist. So I called the kohl's
customer service on Dec 19. She was able to refund me $12.97 for my lose on
the store card. But she was not willing to give me $40. She said the amount
is too big. She asked me to wait a few days while they do some research on
the gift card (6393050516416656465).
I called on Dec 28 2014 again (second call). This time I talked with a
supervisor. She told me that the case number created 141228-013164. She is
going to send me an e-gift card of $40 and a free shipping code as
compensation for my loss. She said the e-gift card will be sent after 48
I did not receive any e-gift card after 48 hours. I called again on Jan 1
2015 (third call). Again I talked with a supervisor (ID TKC4028). She told
me that a physical card of $40 is on the way and it will take about 14-30
days to reach me.
On Jan 28 2015 (fourth call), I called again, this time the customer support
told me that I should be patient. She assured me that I will receive the
physical gift card of $40 on Feb 2 2015.
Today is Feb 4 2015. I called again (fifth call), and the customer support
said she needs to speak with a specialist. What? I have the physical gift
card at my hand (6393050516416656465). Each time I check the balance online
at kohls.com, it showed me this error message: We're sorry, the page you're
looking for may be temporarily unavailable or no longer exist. I am very
disappointment. After five calls and waited for almost two months,
especially after I talked with two supervisors and each promised me that a
replacement gift card is on the way, what a liar! How can I trust Kohl's
