but I do not realize there are a lot of lies in it, American history is
required class for high class, but textbook tell a lot of lies. Children
spend a lot of time memorize them, how terrible they find out all they learn
are wrong.

中国如此，美国也好不到那儿去，特别是1960-1970 以后的教科书。想找谎言少的历史
书？凡事多有例外， 不过一般说来，老一点的书保险些，当然最好是 primary
resource.
A primary source is a document, speech, or other sort of evidence written,
created or otherwise produced during the time under study. Primary sources
offer an inside view of a particular event.
感恩节前在网上发现了一份这样的 primary resource, William Bradford's history
"of the Pliomoth Plantation", an ebook transcribed from the original
manuscript. Don't know when I will have time, but I do want to read it and
have my children read it someday.

job to do all research based on primary sources and provide good textbooks
and history books for us to read. My point is not 历史教科书里谎言多, but
children get cheated, and spend time to learn those false truth. 学习已经很
辛苦,更倒霉学错了. According to the book's author, none of american history
textbooks is right, think how do you pick up amercian history for your
children, beside there is more reality problem, how to your pass history
tests, SAT, based on wrong or correct knowledge? | g*********9
