newsletter洋洋洒洒一大篇。。。。大家的older 3 yr olds娃班上都教什么啊？
"WOW" October has been a very busy month.
We started learning some basic handwriting skills and how to properly hold
our writing instrument. This goes along with continuing to master our
scissor skills.
A unit on Halloween started off the month. We worked on a Halloween
collage and a Mummy scene. We read Stellaluna learning about bats, their
habitats and their being nocturnal. We also worked on perfecting our
counting skills by matching the number of bats to the numbers on the bat
caves. This was so exciting and fun.
Next, was a unit on Fall. We read The Leaves Are Falling, and started
working on our wreaths for the Fall Dinner. We cut, painted, designed and
put together our wreaths, they are so beautiful and we hope you enjoy them.
After reading The Berenstain Bears Prize Pumpkin, we made our annual visit
to the pumpkin patch for some fun and picking out our own pumpkin.
Our next unit was on colors. We learned about the leaves changing colors,
followed with an activity in circle time in which our tree had different
colored leaves and those leaves had numbers printed on them. We practiced
our number 1-8. We also made a Halloween color collage using all orange and
black items.
Our final unit for October was again Halloween. We read The Berenstain
Bears Trick or Treat in preparation for our very exciting Halloween Parties.
We then had to make our very important custom Trick or Treat bags, which
went home filled with goodies.
October, science in the Preps was very exciting. We learned about the life
cycle of a butterfly, a carved pumpkin and had pumpkin seeds to take home.
We saw a Puss caterpillar, which we learned are very poisonous despite
their appearance, and some bean plants which we could see the roots and
leaves. | p*i
