Now we've got a baby (almost a year) and the two old laptops happened to
break down at the same time. We need to buy a home computer asap.
Can someone adivse whether we'd buy a laptop or a desktop or those "desktop"
that only comes with a big screen and keyboard? It would be mainly used for
Internet browsing, basic office work, and kid's learning/entertaining on
the computer.

eyes and they need social communication more than using computer....
