Professor Dong Li in the areas of high performance computing, and parallel
and distributed systems. Funding for students is expected to be in the form
of research and/or teaching assistantships.
Desired qualifications:
- A BS or preferably an MS in CS or CE;
- Strong C/C++ programming ability;
- Strong desire to publish in top conferences;
Preferred qualifications (but not strictly required):
- Strong system programming experience;
- Experience or sufficient knowledge in parallel programming models (e.g.,
CUDA, OpenMP, MPI, and OpenCL);
- Experience/interest in large-scale performance analysis and modeling, and
computer architecture simulation;

National Lab (ORNL), but will join UC Merced as an assistant professor at
Jan 1, 2015. He has been working on the state-of-the-art HPC research
