survey carried out on life science PhDs. It says: 10 years after their
gradaution (PhD), 20% have left their original fields, 20% were still
Postdocs. so the other 60% had decent jobs, working in either academia
or instury, leading lives with acceptable qualities.
Up to you to judge this number. In my opinion, it's not thAT bad.
