you dont need a computer as everything can be done on your phone.

1. root.
download kingroot.apk and install it. then root your phone with kingroot and
reboot.
now you get a rooted tmo alcatel onetouch evolve 2.
if you dont like kingroot go to step 2.
2. remove kingroot and replace it with your own root files.
2.1. install esfilemanager or something else can do the same job.
you will need a file manager to do all changes. or if you are familar with
linux you can use a terminal console.
2.2. go to /etc and edit /etc/install-recovery.sh

#/system/etc/install-recovery-ku.sh
#/system/etc/install-recovery-kr.sh

2.3. delete all kingroot files.
it is important to remove all kingroot files.
2.3.1 check these folders and remove everything containing "king" which i
believe is from kingroot.
/data/app
/data/applib
/system/app
2.3.2 remove /system/app/superuser.apk
2.3.3 remove /system/ku.sud
2.3.4 remove /system/kugote
2.3.5 remove /system/su
if you have difficilty to delete su, you can use this command:
chattr -a /system/xbin/su
rm -f su
2.4. copy your root files to phone.
2.4.1 copy su to /system/xbin
2.4.2 copy su to /system/bin
2.4.3 copy superuser.apk to /system/app
2.4.4 copy daemonsu to /system/xbin
2.5. reboot. done!
