Here is what the upgrade is about:
http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-5033
Once you install the upgrade(from version P76910e to P76910g), you lose the
root.
Quoted from XDA forum:
"the newest version of the firmware (10g) fixes wifi tethering. however,
with the newest firmware, you lose root and anything else you did to your
phone. and we haven't figured out a way back to 10e or a way to root 10g yet
."

恢复下"? Thx.
It's a bit annoying the upgrade notification pops up from time to time.
Even I click "upgrade later" button each time, I'm afraid that I may click
the "install" button by accident.

和 external,但是app下载下来还是安装在internal里。 不解。。。。。 |

save root before you update
after update, it is still rooted even without using root recovery
