我知道V家最经济的做法是，先买 一个比较fancy的智能机，签2年的contract
然后立即解约，转成Pageplus的prepaid
T家有末有类似的做法？ |

last generation of ARM. The current one, like ones used in NVidia Tegra 2,
Apple A5, is based on Cortex-A9, which has been tested that it's about
20~30% better than A8 for a single-core performance.
Considering most apps are still using only a single-core, I still prefer
smartphone that has CPU based on Cortex-A9.
However, the GPU inside HTC senstation is said to be the best among all
current ones.
So it's a hard choice, at least for me.

20-30% difference for single-core is big

I just don't understand why Qualcomm still chose A8 for it's dual-core
platform. I hope Qualcomm could skip A9 and just jump to use A15 which
claims to be on par with X86 :)

发帖数: 240 | 14 In terms of CPU and GPU, it's hard to say at this point because:
HTC sensation uses a 1.2GHz dual-core based on A8, while Atrix still uses
1GHz dual-core based on A9. So the higher frequency of HTC sensation may
bridge the performance gap between A8 and A9. Of course, we are not
considering overclocking.
Regarding GPU, it's said that GPU (Adreno 220) is better than that in
Atrix (powered by NVidia Tegra 2). It's so sad that NVidia, a graphics
company, hasn't provided a GPU beast for mobile phone market.
