秋季的，前些日子发套磁信给各种老板，终于收到了一封回复。老板叫我申请，但是没
有说任何奖学金的事情，这种情况该怎么办呢？信的原文是这样的
Thanks for writing to me. I am planning to bring new students into my group,
and from what I can see of your background there is some potential match
between our ongoing projects and your experience; the main difference is
that I do not expect to work on Si devices. So long as this is OK with you,
and you would be interested in participating in III-V device work instead,
then I would encourage you to apply for admission to **** University. One
complication is that we admit very few students for joining in the Spring
semester; most of our new students join in the fall because of the way our
curriculum is structured (which is mainly dictated by the structure of our
qualifying exam). That isn't to say that it is not possible, but it is not
so common. We'll need to make sure that we have a clear plan for getting you
through the qual exam, etc, if you decide you want to apply for January
admission. But fall admission is much better....

说说你为什么一定要申请一月份的，
看看系里的课程，跟老师谈谈possible qualify exam schedule
让老师觉得你准备的妥妥的
不过...我也觉得秋天好，OPT继续找工作不好么 |
