Department at Oakland University will be available starting Fall Semester of
2012. Successful applicants will join Prof. Tao Shu’s research group and
will receive rigid/systematic training and carry out research in the area of
networking and security. More information on Prof. Shu’s research can be

An ideal candidate should have completed his/her M.S. degree in Computer
Science or Electrical Engineering, and should be highly self-motivated in
pursuing a research-oriented career. In addition, the following
qualifications are desired: Strong analytical skills and excellent
communication skills (both written and spoken) in English are required;
Solid mathematical background will be a big plus; Solid background in
security, cryptography, wireless communication, or networking will be a big
plus; Previous research experience on security, networking, wireless
communication, or distributed computing is a big plus, although not required
; Strong programming skills are highly desirable.
Oakland University is a public research university located 25 miles north of
