It just shows how dangerous this route can be when it's out of condition.
These guys are extremely lucky in that they had perfect weather for this
long. If the weather had turned sour on day 4 or beyond, they would have
almost certainly made the headline news. |

weather.
Well, it is still far from my ability anyway, I need to do Kautz first.

Planned to do it this year after last year's bail but the road was washed.
Well, I'm out of shape this year anyway.

发帖数: 669 | 7 Kautz is a nice route. Not very hard but has two moderate pitches of alpine
ice. You need to decide if you want to carry-over or down climb the
technical section. The best thing is you probably would have the route to
yourself, especially if you go during either early or late season. You also
may not have a beaten path to follow.
