use others' rope after they lead.
REI is promoting its year end clearance and sale now, not sure if it is a go
od time to buy, but i searched and found this page - anyone please give some
advice... very much appreciate it. thanks.

capacity at all when falls or such. i don't think i will get into leading
for a while, nonetheless, still need a rope just for top rope purpose. from
what i heard, static rope is cheapter, however, the dynamic rope seems still
many people's favorite. just wonder how people think here. Cabbage's FAQ is
really well written.

0.5 rope for TR as well...

It is not hard to find deal and buy a 60m X 10-10.5mm dynamic rope for less
than $100. How much will you pay for a 60m static rope? Do your own math.

我本来还想买一根粗一点的绳子爬single pitch，留下我的细绳子爬长路线。结果人家
说，你这种一根绳子用三年的，没必要买专门的绳子。一根就够用了
