website says that permit will be available for reservation on July 5th.
Does anyone know what time on that day the system will begin to take
reservations? I guess that a shot at one of the six permits on a long
weekend is a big fight. |

a thru-hike, a permit is required with limited quota, either day-hike
or overnight.

know that there would be some permits available for the day you go. if you
are not having a huge group (say just several people), might be able to pick
up some permits on the spot.

reserve the camp ground. I believe there are 12 of them.
The REAL challenge this year for narrow through hike is that there are road
constructions from June to end of October for every Monday to Thursday. All
shuttle to trail head during those days will start at 5am. So you have to
get up REALLY early. The other option is to start you hike from Friday to
Sunday. So plan accordingly. |

发帖数: 1285 | 8 Thanks for the info. I'm planning on the Labor Day weekend, so the
road work should not be an issue. I think only 6 out of 12 campsites
are reservable, and my favorite ones (#10 and 11) are in the walk-in
half. I think I'm going to try to shoot for #12 on 7/5, and if I
cannot get it, will just get to the visitor center early on Saturdayto
get a Sunday permit.

发帖数: 1285 | 9 This year they have an exceptional amount of flood due to the wet
winter. As I check yesterday, the flood volume is nearly twice more
than average. By September it should get down quite bellow the safe
level.

发帖数: 419 | 11 我们最近去过zion，当时水位太高narrow不开放。问得信息如下：每周二8点有ranger
在trailhead带领进入。是否必须由ranger带去不详。每周只有周二开放，水位允许情
况下。最好电话提前确认。
