The very basic one is to use 2 edges to make turns or control speed.
Begin with the rear edge, it's easier. Don't let the board heading straight ahead. That helps slow down ur speed.
Move ur weight back and forth to control the area of the board that touches snow. Feel the speed.
That's step 1. |

This step is just for fun before you really master the skills.
Use rear edge only to make turns. Just slide down with whatever leg in front. :-) |
c***g 发帖数: 13 | 3 How to make a stop:
Let the board be perpendicular to the direction you heading. If you use rear edge, move your weight backward. |
c***g 发帖数: 13 | 4 After you feel you can control the rear edge, switch to front edge.
Again, begin slowly, face to the peak, let the board off a little bit from the way you moving. Get the touching of the speed.
After a while, speed up a little bit. Practice turn, stop. Your knee will be a little bit stressful. |

So now the board almost heads to the direction you move. Control your leg in back: either push to the front edge or rear edge. This is the toughest time for the beginner. But it's just the dark before the dawn! |
