Your integrity is highly exemplary to all Americans, as exhibited by your
2007 investigations into farm subsidies for deceased individuals, and your
indignant scolding on irresponsible AIG executives. It’s such a blessing
to see you enthusiastically serving nearly a third of century in the Senate
in a wide array of senior positions.
It was the same integrity that prompted you to rise and put H.R.3012 on hold
, because you must have been deeply concerned with the high cap of 85%. By
dropping the cap from 85% to 50% or even lower would be the most efficient
way to prevent the system from being abused by fraudulent practices. The
bill per se does NOT increase a single visa number. It only proposes a
first-come-first-served principal for fairness. You will be overwhelmingly
applauded for your wise and heroic amendment to this bill with an elegant
proposal to lower the cap rather than putting the whole bill on hold. Your
open-minded decision will be engraved in our minds and we'll seek all
opportunities to support you in return.
