You can find nice places in Kettering or Riverside too, but you may have to
bother with city taxes. Beavercreek so far has no city taxes.
I do not like Fairborn because they have stupid school district tax with worse
schools.
As for city of Dayton, You may be able to find some cheap places on east side,
but I don't remember any place there can be called nice. Also the city of
Dayton has 2.25% city tax. | b********n

side of the city. Once a while, Dayton ranked No. 7 for crime rate,
the City challenged it because there was no way Dayton had more crimes than
Chicago. However, a new survey ranked Dayton as No. 5.
With loss of manufacturing industries, unemployed rate is over 10%, Dayton
suffers more crimes this time. Nothing really bad on east side, and most
criminals have no cars. I guess that's why the city of Beavercreek denied
the new bus line to the Fairfield Commons mall area.
Most places in Dayton are safe. Those unsafe places are usually have nothing
to walk around. I feel more safe in Dayton than Chicago, and more than
California, where people has no right to defend their own property.
