发帖数: 113 | 3 Unfortunately, the answer is NO. The article 19 does not apply to state tax
return. In some states, you can try to claim the state tax exemption under
this article and you could possibly get it if you are lucky enough (in view
of the fact that the "experts" in state taxation department are usually not
clear about such rare cases). But in Ohio, don't do that!

I have called my accountant who has prepared the tax return for me, she did

发帖数: 624 | 12 In your case, you can use this treaty. It does not matter where you got your
H1-B.
This treaty can not be used if you have already been a permanent resident.
You can get all the federal tax you paid in the last two years back (assuming you did not have a green card).
