Dear Mr. Larkin:
I saw the recent "year of the rat" cartoon printed on May 14 ,2008. It
angered and disappointed me that your paper would publish a political
cartoon making fun of the plight of others. I understand if the cartoonist
does not agree with political views of other countries but it is absolutely
inappropriate to vilely jest at the expense of other people's pain and
suffering. I would hope there is some kind of public reprimand or apology
to the friends and famil | z******j
