is a little hint.
A letter from the DON of the hospital:
Only 5% of the hospitals in the country have received Magnet designation,
and only 2% of the hospitals in the country receive redesignation. XXX
nurses have had the distinct honor of receiving this distinguished award
four times, a recognition held by only seven organizations in the country.
So that brings you guessing to only seven hospitals. |

at. P.S., our program has a very good reputation which is even better than
the BSN programs in town (it also means that the program is tougher,haha).
There are a few tips that might be helpful for current nursing students:
1. Have a very impressive resume. Have a good GPA. Try to get some
volunteering experience and put it in your resume. They really look at them,
really. I was told that HR uses some kind of searching engine to screen the
candidates. People who have the closest match come on the top of the list
and will be reviewed first. At my hospital, they only set up one interview
for each position, which means you have a very good chance to get the job
unless you really screw it up. It also tells you how important it is to get
your resume really impressive by any means. I have a Thank-you Letter from a
patient which was a great bonus.
2. Cover letter is important. Be concise and specific to the job you are
applying for.Do not use the same one for all the positions.
3. Ask your instructor to write you a referral if possible.
4. Get well prepared for the interview. Think ahead of all the possible
questions. You are showing them you are competent and confident by answering
the questions right away without hesitation.
5. They like to ask about your weakness. Try to word it in a positive way so
they could be your strength as well. For example, you may think your
language skills and cultural background is your weakness. But it could be
your strength when you have a culturally diverse patient.
