Project Coordinator
Health Services Resource Administration Grant to Implement a
Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) Program at the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing
The Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing seeks a full-time partner coordinator
to join our team to support the implementation of a federally funded nurse
training grant. We are looking for a strong leader to promote our new
Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) program to staff nurses working in the New York
Health and Hospital Corporation System and the Veteran’s Health
Administration.
The partner coordinator will be responsible for marketing and recruiting
staff nurses into the Clinical Nurse Leader Program. Launched in 2007 by
the AACN, the CNL is a master’s prepared generalist who promotes care
coordination and nurse-led clinical quality improvement projects. Unlike
other master degree programs, the CNL program is based on an academic/
clinical partnership model to promote the seamless implementation of the CNL
role in clinical practice settings.
To qualify, you must have a masters’ degree in nursing and knowledge of the
New York Health and Hospital Corporation systems and the Veteran’s Health
Administration. Daily travel between sites is essential along with
communication and record-keeping skills to document the different
interactions. The position is available immediately. Salary $80,000 /year
plus fringe benefits. Twelve month contract (with the possibility of re-
appointment THAT WILL END when the grant is over on June 30, 2012.)
