n***x 发帖数: 4 | 1 I took nclex today. 75questions about 2 and a half hours. I did pearsonvue
trick and got good pop up.
Experience: 1.I am good at contents, but when I took the exam, I really didn
't know how to choose the right answer(two of choices are easy to get rid of
, but another two ---)
2. When I did kaplan, it was not too hard for me to
choose answers no matter I got high score or low score. However, the real
exam ---. Although I wasn't too nervous today, I checked the time and closed
my eyes to take deep breath after I anwered each question and that is the
reason I spent 2 and a half hours to finish the exam because I really didn't
know which answer I should choose correctly. I feel that my knowledge base
didn't help me a lot and neither the kaplan strategy-ABC something like that
. I used the common sense because I didn't have other choice and I had to
speed up in case I needed to take 265 questions.
3.a lot of SATA questions, one graph, one math, one
pediatrics, questions for eldery and for OB, a couple of psychiatric
questions, a lot of meds and it was the hard part. On a couple of questions,
the diseases I never met during the nursing program and on the kaplan
practice. The similarity between the real exam and kaplan I think is the
way by which they posted questions, but the contents are really different.
I hope that my experience will not scare the future exam takers. I hope that
my experience is helpful for you. Practice questions and think in deep way
when you take the exam. Those questions are not quite straight and you need
think flexibly, like what complication the disease will cause and what
complication the complication will cause. For example, the flu will cause
pnuemonia and then the pnumonia will cause the emphysema, but in the exam
you just see what is the complication of flu and you see the emphysema not
pnuemonia among the answer choices.
Hope I can pass the exam.
And, thank TEACHER and a lot of helpers here.
