what is the advantage of joining an union? As a unionized nurse, what and
how much the union can really protect you?
Looking forward to your answers! Highly appreciate your quick reply!
Millions of thanks! | a**l 发帖数: 1166 | 2 I don't know which city, which country are u now, I am in Canada,most nurses
in Canada are unionized, union will represent nurse to negotiate with
employer: like wage, vacation, benefits, and most important, employer only
can lay off employee according to senority (不能随便裁员,实在要裁,得按规定
,多半是按senority)
我觉得有工会的地方对移民有利。 | n********a 发帖数: 53 | 3 Thanks Aywl for your reply.
You said "employer only can lay off employee according to senority", does
this imply the lower senority, the higher chance to be laid off?
BTW, I am in America. | a**l 发帖数: 1166 | 4 in Canada, the lower senority the higher chance to be laid off, that's true,
but I think it's better for immigrants;这更像论资排辈,但只要你熬过2-3年你
的日子就好过了;否责一辈子都得提心吊胆,因为移民语言比不上本地人,这是不争的
