What toy when
Infants 0-2months
Choose high-contract toys with geometric patterns and shapes including
plastic mirrored toys, rhythmic or motion-oriented toys and those ever-
favorite rattles
Infants 3-5months
At this stage, select toys baby can hold, as she is now starting to roll,
move and grasp more
Infants 6-9 months
Baby’s on the move now-crawling, sitting up and grasping at objects.
Bouncers and swings will provide lots of giggles, along with toys that show
cause and effect. And during restful periods, read baby a story.
Safety tips:
(1) Consider the safety of all toys: no strings, no small pieces or parts
; lead-free, quality design, and no chipped, peeling or broken parts.
(2) Make sure to choose toys without small parts to prevent choking,
reference age appropriateness on packaging and making sure toys can
