many parents will "clean" a pacifier with their own mouth prior to giving
it to their child. "Any of that back-and-forth passes the bacteria."
Bacteria can also spread from toys or fingers that have been in others'
mouths, but it's mostly the sharing of utensils and kissing. So avoid saliva
-swapping habits.
