A Chinese real estate developer, which currently develops two ground up
condo projects in New York City is seeking a corporate accountant (entry
level or senior) with the following duties:
1. Perform monthly closing and quarterly closing on a timely basis,
including: payroll recon; bank recon; intercompany billing; construction
loan recon to the statement;
2. Complete monthly cash position reports and oversee the company petty
cash and online orders;
3. Daily AP work as needed (and very minor AR work); initial wire
transfer as needed;
4. Draft payment request in both Chinese and English online for
management approval;
5. Supporting work including: provide invoices / payment information to
cost accounting manager for budgeting purpose; provide corp documents and
periodic financial data to Director of Acquisition during new project or
new
loan DD process; provide supporting vouchers to external and internal
auditors;
6. Perform basic analysis under instruction.
Required:
1. Bachelor degree in accounting
2. Proficiency in both English and Chinese, both written and verbal
3. Minor travel if needed
4. Overtime during closing if needed; occasion conference call or
communication with China team after work if needed
5. Proficiency in QB
6. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
7. Faster learner and a good team member
Any of the following is considered as a PLUS
1. CPA
2. Experience in Audit
3. Experience in Tax preparation
4. Experience in Real Estate Development and / or construction
5. Exposure to: mortgage recording tax; construction loan; condo unit
closing; real estate taxes; transfer pricing; corp tax planning; cost
accounting; AIA G702 G703; land loan; construction budgeting; construction
permits and approvals, and etc.
