Open To: Middle School students who have oral Chinese skills
STARTALK is a free summer Chinese Program for middle school students in 7th
and 8th grade who are residents of Queens and who have some oral fluency but
would benefit from augmented reading and writing instruction. During this
summer program, students will be exposed to the basics of reading and
writing in Chinese, explore Chinese-American culture, and attend field trips
to get first-hand experience aligned with class content, which may help
them prepare for High School Chinese programs. For more information and to
