floral park离flushing不近的， 换Q17， 都要坐快40分钟，上次坐都快睡着了。

发帖数: 265 | 8 我住在floral park。 这里有韩国人的教堂，但是我到现在还没有碰到过韩国人，倒是
在playground, 学校操场和幼儿园里都有碰到中国人。floral park有自己的警察，反
应速度据说比打911快。安全上还是不错的。另外就是交通，我觉得这里的交通选择性
还不错，火车能直通manhattan, brooklyn,和queens， 不像北边的线到brooklyn就不
方便。不愿意做火车，还能坐bus转地铁，bus要是做到快车，只一站就到地铁了，上下
班时快车不少。到flushing要转bus， 我们一般都是开车去，好在我们不是成天往
flushing跑。家里老人都去F车方便到的地方。小学很不错，高中如何见仁见智，肯定
不如great neck south， 你要是能买到great neck自然是最好。
stewart manor我有一次坐火车到过，很僻静，站台在地面上（floral park的站台在桥
上，不影响地面交通）， 当时我想叫部出租都叫不到。
new hyde park很大，有些地区听说能上great neck south， 但是交通怎样就不知道了。
另外，在一个区的不同地方，感受都会不同，像在new hyde park,有些地方交通很好，
有些地方就是死角，所以要多看房子，多在想买房子的地区走动，看一看附近的环境是
不是你喜欢的，几条经常要走的路是不是你愿意走的。看房子是功夫活。
最后说一句，要住到郊区就不要想着和城里一样方便，commuting一个小时是正常的事
，做车到flushing 40分钟也是正常的事。要是想方便就买forest hill的房子，要是再
有钱就买manhanttan的房子，天下哪有十全十美的事？

floral park交通选择多，但是都是超级慢。。。火车去penn班次少，这么近居然还要
40分钟，而且铁定没座位，每天站这么久可不是好玩的。。。
bus就更不靠铺了。。。
最重要的是这种incorporated village学区划分一团糟，经常变动，说不定那天小孩就
跟黑模三同校了。。。

早上8:17am 那班，到penn station只要34min的。

Two high schools are located in Floral Park: Floral Park Memorial High
School and Sewanhaka High School, both of which are part of the Sewanhaka
Central High School District (which also includes schools in nearby New Hyde
Park, Franklin Square and Elmont.)[13] There are three elementary schools
in Floral Park. Two of them, John Lewis Childs School and Floral Park-
Bellerose School, are part of the Floral Park-Bellerose School District (the
latter school also serves the neighboring village of Bellerose and
Bellerose Terrace). [2] Our Lady of Victory Elementary School is operated by

apparent. A Board of Education was formed and a four room school house,
called the Floral Park School, was built and opened in 1895 on South Tyson

我坐hempstead line可比你住flora park时间长，早上rush hour过了garden city基本
没位子了。当然你要是愿意坐在两个300lb黑大妈中间就是另外回事了。
hempstead branch是lirr最滥的一条线，慢的要死，车还旧。

直达的少啊，一半班次要在牙买加转车。。。
lirr晚点5分钟以上是常态吧，特别是这种慢车。。。

这种incorparated village很多房子有多个zipcode，学区也有多个。每年交village
tax的时候就是该打架的时候了。
BTW flora park旁边的NHP要好不少（交通，学校，亚裔社区，新房子多），city data

I lived in garden city area for 7 years and took garden city -> penn train
for 3 years before moving to great neck.
what i said is just facts which you can't denied. if flora park is truly
good why house price is much lower than others. Does it make sense to you?

发帖数: 265 | 20 我上班是天天有位置的，当然有时要坐到两人中间，但是还没有碰到过什么300磅黑大
妈，我连黑人都少见到，我也不介意坐在她们中间。看到很多男士不愿意和人挤而站着
，并不是没有座。
floral park的房子并不便宜，只是还没有贵得离谱，和garden city和great neck是没
得比，我们也买不起。
我说的也是事实，而且是最update的事实。
