week or two later telling you where to pick it up. If you are lucky, it
might only missing a few non-critical parts like wheels, radio, etc.

can't afford to lose, like your health, a house with 30 years payments and
your wife and kids living off of your paycheck.
If you have to insure your car because you can't afford losing it, then you
shouldn't buy it to begin with.

insurance THE MOMENT (usually on the same day) the first snow came down. (
November-ish)
and cancel everything in late May. Auto insurance is not mandatory there.
and I know, without snow/ice, I won't be the one causing any accident. A
meticulous driver's confidence. |

the same can't be done here in the much more populous East Coast states.
Not only liability insurance is mandatory (of course it should be),
everything on the social scene is also more complicated here. You can never
tell who the cops really work for and who the other driver knows...
Confidence, and responsible driving don't go very far in NJ, NY. :)
