克鲁曼分析指出,1990年代的两党合作是在共和党试过所有衝突手段后才发生的;

Obama Added More to National Debt in First 19 Months Than All Presidents
from Washington Through Reagan Combined, Says Gov’t Data
In the first 19 months of the Obama administration, the federal debt held by
the public increased by $2.5260 trillion, which is more than the cumulative
total of the national debt held by the public that was amassed by all U.S.
presidents from George Washington through Ronald Reagan.

By the time Obama took the office, the economics was already in the bad

The relationships amount unemployment, interest rates, and the whole pic of macroeconomic are complicated... They are ALL MODELS, no one can guarantee that will work. These models are mainly developed to explain the pass but not the future. If and only if history repeats itself, it might work.
Usually, the unemployment and interest rates are going in the opposite
directions. But in the 1970's era, they were heading in the same direction. No one knows why until the Philips curve came out and explained it afterward ..... What they are doing now is trying to rescue the current bad economic with the old method, of course, no one knows it will work or not. And politicians NEVER say it's bad until outcome can be proved.

Z*****l 发帖数: 14069 | 28 I don't understand what you are trying to prove. The fact is that it didn't
work, and someone has to take the blame for it.
Bush and GOP took their part of the blame in 2008 election, and now it's Obama and DEM's turn to take the punishment for continuing the stupidity and for increasing the national debt even faster. Anything wrong with that?
