I am writing to express my strongest concerns regarding the tax reform. We
all know that in years California has been sending more tax payment to
Washington than it received in federal spending. Taking out SALT (State and
Local Tax) deduction to make Californian further subsidize federal spending
is truly unfair.
The Golden State would be devastated by the removal of the state income
taxes from the deductible list, and the capping of property tax and mortgage
interests’ deductions. Without full deductions of these items, a typical
voter in your district would have to pay additional federal income taxes of
thousands of dollars each year, and tens of thousands of dollars in 10 – 15
years when personal incomes and housing prices both increase significantly.
We strongly urge you to work with your peers at the Congress to keep these
deductibles as the way they are. We rely on you to represent people in
your district.
We like tax cuts. But, no tax cuts shall happen at the burden of an average
Californian, at the burden of average people in your district.

N.J. Lawmaker Tries to Revive State and Local Deduction
The Ways and Means Committee is debating an amendment from Rep. Bill
Pascrell (D., N.J.) to restore the state and local tax deduction.
That’s a huge issue for Mr. Pascrell’s state, and he is proposing to undo
one of the core proposals in the GOP tax bill that raises money to pay for
tax-rate cuts. The bill repeals the deduction for state and local income and
sales taxes and caps the property-tax deduction at $10,000.
Under Mr. Pascrell’s amendment, the corporate tax rate would be increased
to cover the lost revenue; Republicans are poised to reject the amendment
later in the day.

我们的地税都干了什么？我们的州税又干了什么？
政府一而再的用我们交的地税去扩大学区补偿根本不愿意学习的人，盖政府房，扩大公
务员，最后导致我们在交了地税/州税之后还要面对公立学校的质量一天天下降而不得
不掏出学费让孩子上私立同时被诬蔑，在交了地税后每天开车在坑坑洼洼的公路上，交
了地税/州税后连附近的路灯都不能保证，连附近的安全都不能保证？
我们的州税让他们可以供应免费的州立大学，当然对我们不免费。
我们的地税让他们可以给镇里的消防员支付15万的年薪，但是不会对你家的安全做任何
他们安全之外的保障
为什么不是反对这无耻的高州税高地税而去反对一个对大多数中产都有利的联邦税计划？
