发帖数: 223 | 1 gas water heater 是Rheem 2008年造的但是挂GE的牌子卖的，是 75gallon。heater
顶部有3个管子接到heater 上。 右边是冷水管，左边是热水管，中间是接vent到 屋外
的。前一段时间发现地上周围有水。一看heater顶端冷水管和heater connection 的地
方有积水并且冷水管有腐蚀。顶部中间和vent 对应的地方用手摸摸也有水，热水管那
边没问题。( 不知道为什么图片右边显示不出来， 但你点击图片就能看到）。用一个
盆子放在Temperature and pressure tube下面测了测， TP valve
and tube 没问题。
打manufacturer 的电话， 说还在6年limited warranty 以内。 但只管材料费（如果
repairable 只管提供零件，如果不是repairable， 只提供一个新的heater）。 不包
括 inspection fee， 维修和replacement 安装的labor。heater 本身的费用估计在
800左右， 安装和把旧的拖走我想三四百怎么也够了吧。 我问能不能给replace 一个
新的heater？他们说现在不能定。 他们说叫我找一个plumber 来看一看（估计要100左
右上门费？）。 让plumber 和他们通电话， 再定是不是可以repair 还是应该replace
。 万一他们说可以repair，那我现在可能要付好几百刀的labor虽然他们提供parts （
plumber 可不便宜哟）。
看了网上好多人说heater 可以管一二十年的， 我想这修了可能也管不了几年， 说不
准刚过warranty 就开始leak了。 到那时我可就得付所有的费用了。所以我想现在花几
百块的安装费，让warranty 来换一个新的。 但怎么让manufacturer 认为这个必须要
换呢？ 万一他们说可以修怎么办？ 最近有好久没见到水leak 到basement 的地上了（
但heater 上面管子周围还能摸到水）。 等地上有积水是再找plumber？ 还不知道下次
什么时候地上见到积水。
BTW， 仔细看了6年的limited warranty 的说明，说现在replace 了一个新的， 新
heater的warranty 只能到cover 到旧的heater 过期时， 也就是明年。 感觉到美国的
warranty真狗屁呀， 又贵又cover 到不了什么东西。
大家有碰到过这种情况吗？ 有什么好的建议？ |

the air going through the vent (vent CO2 to roof) just warm air. But if it
set too high, the air going through the vent could be like "steam" of which
met the cold water pipe could condense to water in surround the cold water
pipe.
Also, if the temperature set too high, the hot water inside the heater could
boiling and escape out from the safety pipe (the one shown vertical to the
ground) and leak to the ground (steam quickly become water to the ground).

throughout the year?
Your photo mentioned found water inside the vent rim too. Pretty much it
tells the symptom that heater tank in some situation has high steam pressure
.
Very unlikely the cold water pipe corroded to leak unless the water is acid
water. If so, you could be already in big health problem.
