以花钱换消点，大约近200美金消一个点。我想问问，到底4点能给我什么麻烦？

我拿过五点的ticket(tailgate),
谈了变成两点。 保险公司第二年继续给我降保险，
说我的credit score太好了。

Even if you pay to get rid of points, your insurance will go up anyway.
Traffic violation tickets became public knowledge immediately after
issuances.
LZ, just pay the ticket and move on.

发帖数: 150 | 7 A traffic violation in New Jersey has different consequences for motor vehicle point and insurance point because they are two different systems.
MVC point system is (1) to keep the road save and (2) to collect fines (assessed under N.J.A.C. 13:19-10).
Insurance point system is for insurance companies to drop bad drivers (Assessed under N.J.A.C. 11:3-34). Your insurance point may be different from your MVC point, depending on the nature of your violation.
If you go to court, you will be charged a $250 for your moving violation, addition to the court fee and your other fine(s).
Since July 1, 2004, NJ collects surcharge for people carrying more than six (6) points. (N.J.S.A. 17:29A-35) for a period of three (3) years. The money goes to New Jersey State government. Remember, this surcharge has nothing to do with your DMV point, your insurance and your DL suspension.

给大家一个Update,刚见了检察官，说如果想不加点，要400美金。我最后交罚款走人了
，加两点，
不是四点。事前没完全搞清楚。
以前和Geico要过quote,当时刚被MVC从2点减少为0点，还是被收了额外大约100，原来
他们查你
最近5年里有罚单，虽然是0点，也多收了快100.
我只是不清楚有点以后保险加多少钱，到时候认命了。刚把下半年的保险付清了，所以
加钱也是大半
年以后的事了。
