The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) will
establish eleven new Collaborative Research Centers (SFBs) on July 1, 2007.
They will receive a total of 75.5 million euros (approx US$98 million) in
funding over the next four years. Research conducted in the centers will
