Beauty is in the eye of the ballot holder.
Despite losing to Clemson 13-9 on Nov. 19, USC first-year coach Steve Spurrier
voted his team three spots higher than the Tigers in his final regular-season
rankings for the USA Today coaches’ poll. The newspaper published the
ballots of the 62 Division I-A coaches in Monday’s editions.
