LBUQUERQUE, March 23 - The loudest senior night in college basketball might
have been the one with the junior.
No fans at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Ky., on March 3 had to ask why
Francisco Garcia, a junior forward, was included in the ceremony. They had
known since the season began that he was leaving for the N.B.A. afterward. And
they had known since Dec. 8, 2003, exactly why he had to go.
