I know BIG will have its own ice hockey league starting next year, but
creating yet another new sports league is getting more interesting.
Current BIG members, Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State, new invitees
Maryland and Rutgers, and expansion targets North Carolina and Virginia,
have D1 lacrosse programs. Northwestern also has a very good women's

It's sort of like an umbrella conference that allows many eastern schools to
play in certain sports that their own conference do not sponsor. It's got
like 300+ members in division I through III.
