Michigan and Virginia Tech are maybe getting back a little return on karma,
after suffering their own indignant bowl snubs in the years past.
In 2000, Virginia Tech finished the regular season 10-1, losing only a Big
East conference game to champion Miami. The fifth-ranked Hokies were
expected to be picked for one of the two at-large spots in the BCS bowls.
Instead, the Fiesta Bowl, with two at-large selections, took No. 6 Oregon
State and more preposterously, also No. 11 Notre Dame.
The Hokies weren’t the only ones who had a gripe. No. 8 Nebraska, which had
handed Notre Dame one of its two losses, in South Bend, was also snubbed.
The Hokies eventually took out their anger issues on Clemson in the Gator
Bowl while the ‘Huskers rolled up 66 points on Northwestern in the Alamo
Bowl. As for the Irish? They really proved they belonged by getting crushed
by Oregon State, 41-9.

有首发。最后排名第5，结果好像拍第6的oregon state和11的 ND打了大bowl，最后ND
惨败啊
