And the rest of the special teams, too.
Alabama's kicking is atrocious all the way around. Kick-offs, place kicking,
and punting. Who's better offensively and defensively is almost too close
to call, but when it comes to special teams, it's not even close. I've had
Alabama fans point to their total offensive production as support for their
argument that Alabama is better offensively.
My response?
Alabama has run 542 offensive plays for 3661 yards, and scored 37 offensive
TDs. LSU has run 528 plays for 2997 yards, and scored 37 offensive TDs. Each
team has scored an equal number of TDs offensively, but LSU requires fewer
plays and far less yardage to do it.
The reason?
Field position. We consistently pin opponents deep and force them to drive
the entire length of the field, and often, they fail. Conversely, we
consistently give ourselves a short field through trading punts and netting
positive yardage on returns (and turnovers, too, but that's not the point
here). We don't pile up the yardage offensively because, quite simply, we
don't have anywhere to go.
If a team can match up to LSU defensively (which in and of itself is
unlikely), there is a high probability that considerable stretches of the
game will be dueling punts, and no team can match up to LSU there.

all BAMA can do is to start offense from 10 yard line. LSU special team is
awesome, BAMA is not even close. I wish BAMA the best luck.

Bams has the best defense hands down this year. LSU's great defense is still
a mystery to me: media seems to hype their defense no matter whether they
have surrendered over 500 yards to a so so wvu team. Everything was based on
the first game against oregon.
The game would be decided on the trenches just like all the other games.

时候，上来不就将RB牛顿搞死了？问题是你们搞不死QB牛顿。
估计LSU和你们都会试图阻止对方的跑攻，逼对方传球。

的球队，容易顾此失彼，盒子里很多了，后防就容易空虚。LSU在这个问题上比较游刃
有余，由于他们的DB水平很高，能力较强，这样即使把盒子装满，后防也不会有太大困
难。这就是BAMA进攻所要解决的问题。

两个只会跑的球队，常常比分很低，就是因为单纯防跑还是容易。
