of a few most valuable things that I've learned and cherished since from my
OSU days. To me, JT is one of the best college football coaches that I've
ever watched coaching or read books about (I admit that I don't know many).
I believe to a lot of OSU players, he is like a father figure, and I still
believe until today that JT himself feels and acts as a father figure to
those young kids.
Imagine yourself in a father's shoes. What would you do when 1) you teach
your children values and principles (talk all the right things), and 2) you
realize that your children have just made mistakes (help him hide his
mistakes from public and may discipline them in private settings). By the
way, I am a father of two children, and I am speaking of my natural
reactions. That's why I believe JT just did what a father would do in those
situations.
I hate JT's coaching style but I love the image he presents himself in and
his speeches. JT is just a scapegoat of the reality and NCAA system. I don't
think JT has ever bribed a recruit or his family members. I don't think JT
has ever taught his players to accept discounts or cash from boosters. I don
't think JT has taught his players of any wrong values. Would you love a
coach publicly condemns a young player for mistakes he stupidly made? Would
you love a person throw everybody else under the bus when a wrongdoing was
uncovered? JT is just a person who believes in old school values and acts
like a protective father. By the way, I said that not because I love his
lying about his knowledge of 5 players selling rings and golden pants, I
actually loath it.
All in all, it's not difficult to understand his reactions throughtout the
last few months that led to his resignation. Simply put your feet into his
shoes and you would understand. However, JT needs to pay for his mistakes. I
am hopeful that JT will go down in OSU history as a positive figure like
Woody. Thanks for reading... | g*********d 发帖数: 8125 | 2 看看,又一个证实了我的文章的球迷
