J********i 发帖数: 50662 | 1 Allen Iverson has apologized for a 20-minute-long, obscenity-laced tirade
against Atlanta police who impounded his gray Lamborghini.
Iverson's sports car was pulled over on March 31 after changing lanes
without signaling, according to an Atlanta police incident report obtained
by WXIA-TV.
The car pulled into a hotel lot on Peachtree Road, and inside the car,
Officer S.J. Durham said he found Antwuan Clisby at the wheel and Iverson in
the passenger seat.
After neither Clisby nor Iverson could produce documentation for the vehicle
, Durham said he ran a check and determined the car's plates had expired in
2009.
Iverson went off when Clisby said his passenger "needed to go inside and eat
," and the officer replied that he had to stay "until I was done with my
investigation," Durham wrote.
"I'm the . . . passenger," Iverson is quoted as saying.
When told the car would be towed, Iverson said, "Take the vehicle, I have 10
more," according to the report.
Then, he added, "Police don't have anything else . . . to do except . . .
with me."
The report also quotes him as saying, "Don't you know who I am?" and "I make
more money than you will in 10 years."
After the car was towed, Iverson apparently left and then returned.
"Mr. Iverson later came back and apologized for disrespecting the police,"
Durham said. "He stated he was just upset about his car."
Clisby was cited for failure to signal and driving with expired tags.
Iverson was not cited for any offense.
