The story was first published in 2007. Since then it was made into a movie
in 2008. It looks like a comedy movie of a very sad story: Being a poor
people in china, you don't get respect from the rich or poor. Your life is
worth nothing. The most sad truth shown in the movie is that "there is no
trust among anyone".
the scene when The main character - 刘跃进 is locked in a cage is a metaphor
of the every poor life in china
The main character - 刘跃进 - has been cheated from the beginning till the
end. Nevertheless he does the same to all the people as well. The only
person he did not intend to cheat is the woman from hair salon.
The supporting character - 严格：“大东亚房地产开发总公司”总经理 - is a
mini version of "Guo wengui", who bribed and blackmailed/extorted government
officials.
what hurts me most is the cold fact that people in poor class treats each
other like disposable animals. |
